We're both wasting our time. The Pals have gotten folks like marcos to see their sufferings as they themselves see them - as pure, unadulterated, completely different in kind and quantity from anyone else on the planet, and only remediable by "justice", which by definition rules out any compromises.

That 100 million people also became refugees in the 20th century, and the situation of the Arab refugees of Palestine was hardly unique - until the UN stepped in to "help" them - never enters their calculations. The way they figure it, it's all the fault of the Jews, so the Jews must pay for it all. They themselves are victims responsible for nothing. They were entitled to massacre the Zionists, and are not responsible for the consequences of their failed attempts to do so.

Arafat of course fostered this attitude. We'll see if Abu Mazen can take any steps to end the cult of Palesitinian victimhood and irresponsibility.
