Tom; I suppose if a person is working for a company and he exposes him/her self to dismissal for revealing information that the company is hiding he has a justification to be an anonyme.
On the BRE-X thread there were a number of anonymes that suspiciously worked to promote the stock that were suspected of being in on the fraud. This had poisoned my mind to the idea, and turned all of them into shady persons with unlterior motives. Of course they can have ulterior good as well as bad motives.

As to insults and offenses. You may be offended at my religous position, and that is your own internal action. But you have accused me of insulting you, which I did not. The comments were not an attempt to sway you, or in any way intrude upon your life. They were, and still are my personal opinion. Obviously you have other opinions, so, there are thousands of opinions out there from full blown proselytising atheists to proselytising theists from 1000's of sects and religions, each of which thinks they are the unique truth, and the rest are in need of correction. I stand apart from the spectrum of these assorted sects and I have my opinion of them. I lump the royals in with them as a relic of a barbarian age, and of course the royals now have only symbolic power, as do the religions in most countries.

If I had said "your mother wears army boots", that is a directed insult.
If I say "my mother wears army boots", that does not insult you, but you may find it offensive, and if you say you cannot say that to me you are projecting your control over my future course of actions which is an attack.

The other problem with anoymes is the chance that bad data can be inserted and we have no recourse. if "joe Miner", says he knows the driller on XYZ mines, and their assays due out next week will be excellent, buy now. So I sit and watch, out come the high assays, and I kick myself. or Vice versa, I buy, and they come out real bad, and I kick myself. They have fewer constraints to tell the truth, and as such are suspect in my mind until they prove their worth.
