Claims are considered separately. However, all it takes is for one claim to be infringed, and then the patent is infringeed. Damages do not depend on the number of claims infringed. Broader claims are more likely to be infringed, and less likely to be valid. I have focused on the independent claims because that is where the disputed language appears.
