How true. Those of you short homebuilders, this is what you are up against: a friend of my co-worker is working on buying FOUR houses in Clovis, Ca. this year. He says he heard they may build an Indian casino near there and expects home prices to double because of that. He has a current net worth of about 400k, most of it equity in his current home. I have no doubt the banks will approve his loans.
I mean %%^#@@%, why not just buy 1 or 2 houses, why friggin' 4 of 'em? I don't know about you guys, but I would leave town in a heartbeat if they ever put one of those seedy casinos near where I lived.
