I like this site. Thx for post. If I were to cut the budget deficit, I'd cut the military first and I'd cut social security second. I'd sell debt to cover the current obligations to retirees and to fund accounts for all non-retiree participats. Then I'd tie those accounts to individual social security #s and privatize the entire system. Then all future payouts wouldn't come out of the annual budget, but they'd come out of the social security system instead, which I'd rename to the self-security system.
