Airtouch has announced that after the convention they will extend digital coverage to all of San Diego and expect to be on stream by mid 1997. "Our confidence in CDMA and the positive experience our customers are having in Los Angeles, made us accelerate the implementation of digital service in San Diego," Lee Cox, AirTouch Communications vice chairman and chief executive officer of its AirTouch Cellular unit, said in a statement. Viva San Diego!
