This Just In: More on the CBS News Scandal _______________________________ LETTER TO THE LA TIMES January 15, 2005 latimes.com So CBS News has fired four employees following a "60 Minutes Wednesday" story about President Bush's military service that relied on allegedly forged documents. However, there has been no conclusive proof that they were forgeries. Yet no journalists have been held accountable and lost their jobs for failing to scrutinize the fraudulent case for the Iraq war. No journalists have lost their jobs for the fabricated Jessica Lynch story. Not one politician has lost his job for misrepresenting the truth regarding the Iraq war or the false claims that Saddam Hussein could deploy weapons of mass destruction. Anyone see any inconsistencies here? When will our mainstream media and politicians be held to account? Moira Govan Gloucester, Britain
