Mindmeld, Having said that, I think you guys are starting to whip out semantics in order to diffuse the issue.

Not really. They just don't see a "crisis." After all, the federal government can easily increase the SS tax or decrease benefits to avoid "bankruptcy." Then we'll reach a new equilibrium in terms of this SS Ponzi scheme.

Bush wants to transform SS into a 401k-style plan, and that's where the liberal belly-aching starts.
