I think you're confusing socialism with the fact that nearly all socialist governments to date have been brutal dictatorships. That's why they've failed. There's no reason why a government has to be EITHER socialist OR capitalist. I'd imagine the perfect government would be the ideal mix of both ideologies. -Z
