And exactly what are those reasons that would make him enough of a threat to america that we should spend over a thousand of our boys to do so? Enough of a threat that we should alter our defense posture in the world to a first strike position?

I do not think we should have just stood by and let Saddam do as he pleased. Clinton made a big mistake when he let the inspector get kicked out. We should have turned up the heat and continued to flood that country with inspectors. Shine a light so bright on Iraq that nothing could move without the world knowing about it.
