Harley II; This sort of thing can happen to any celebrity. Diana had the peak of attention, with more papparazzis than any other celeb.
I and most people do not read about, pay heed to, chase, or in any way take part in this 'trivial pursuit'. It is demeaning to all.
However there are a large number of brainless twits who want to see what leather goods Arnold Schwartzenegger buys, or dresses Diana wears. These people are in fact sickos, who live a mean low life made bearable only by the vicarious thrills of celeb viewing. The papers and the papparazzi are funded by these people, with their 50 cents here and there, and in turn are funded by advertiser funds looking for the sicko buying power. A read through one of these scandal sheets will show you the moronic level they cater to.
And it is the concatenation of this chain that brought Diana down.
It is a chain. Any attempt to diffuse things by saying the driver was drunk, are ineffective, as without the papparazzi he would not have sped away. Follow the chain from the papparazzi to the magazines to the advertisers to the readers. These chains must be expunged link by link. With regard to those who show papparazzi pictures. I would like to see the supermarkets remove the magazines from their aisles, and I will boycott the advertisers, and a legal precedent should be set that if they show the picture they share the blame for any accident involved. Also fire all employees who read these mags, they are too dumb to deserve a job anyway.
Did I leave anything out??

I have a proposal that there be coins struck in her honour by all countries, with one face being her visage, and life dates(the same on all coins) and the obverse varying with the country, showing the nation, date etc, and any currency valuta. Metal: Purest gold, and silver, each 1 ounce. Obviously they cannot be money as they wull span so many countries, but it will show a universal respect for her.

A comment about mother Teresa earlier. Mother Teresa has a lifetime of good works as a testiment to her goodness. Diana was cut down early, and her full potential will be forever unrealized. Due to the 'Diana' effect Diana did draw a great deal of attention and funds towards what ever cause she espoused, far more than Mother Teresa did early in her life. Diana could then focus this money on a Mother Teresa projects, or any other, and the project would benefit. That was her power, that of drawing attention. More people are now cognisant of the anti mine proiject than before, and it may well be named for her when the accord is signed. I am loathe to rate her vis-a-vis mother Teresa, as they have both done good for mankind in different ways.
