There is more...too much more...and as I get older I don't care as much about retelling some of it. But I should have ended it with this....my relating the episodes was not meant to add any stature to whatever my stature is on this board....for better or worse. I should have explained this....as your choices diminish, either in a situation or in life, you either grab one that is left to you or you simply fall into a pit. What might be considered brave or heroic is actually just realizing you can either move on or lie down and let life pass over you. All of you would have come out the same way i did...at least for the past numbers of years I have managed to land on my feet. That's all...nothing more. You would all have done the same. Or you could have died...what choice would you have made? Obviously to live and to try and make something of yourself and try and do some good in this world. So let's leave the heroics and inspiration to those who really deserve it. There are heroes everywhere if you look. Those who care for those who can't care for themselves, those who dedicate their lives to doing God's work, those who give their life so that others may enjoy freedom. What happened to me is nothing special. Those who helped me get thru it were special. All it adds up to is playing the hand you were dealt...nothing more or less.
