McDonalds loses another CEO .

17/1/2005 - Charlie Bell, who stepped down as CEO of McDonalds only two months ago, died at his Sydney home of Colo-rectal cancer.

He had been appointed CEO of McDonalds in January 2003, to replace Jim Cantalupo who had died suddenly of a heart attack while at a McDonald's convention.

Both men had a long history of eating meals at McDonalds, the second largest employer in America.

Analysts expressed grave concern for the health of current McDonalds CEO, Guy Russo, who is reported to also have a life-long habit of taking meals at McDonalds. Tim Woods, food industry analyst with Morgan Stanley, has called for the McDonalds board to appoint someone from outside the fast food industry. "This radical step may be the only way to assure the stability of leadership at McDonalds".
