The King James version of the Bible is no longer the definitive version, primarily because of inaccuracies, in translations and so forth. I believe the New International Version (NIV) is now the best-selling Protestant Bible. Catholics, of course, never used the KJV. Used to be Douay, now American Catholics use the New American Bible (NAB).
