Your analysis makes some sense.
However I haven't heard of any secondary offerings for SBUX in the
last year and a half (since I started following the company) - I may
be wrong. But if so, how could you explain the continued expansion
of the chain and upwards movement of the stock?

Although their ROE is at about 10%, I noticed that their debt level is
quite high.

Does anybody have any more information about the growth on the number
of outstanding shares since the original IPO that would justify Rod's
arguments? That would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
