The ones I grew up with don't have a problem with things like SS. Helping people out was something you just did.

One problem is that social Dawinism has been on the rise since the Reagan administration and this is an attitude that grows from it. And Dubya certainly embodies social Darwinism.

But social darwinism mostly runs counter to Jesus's ministry. Its like they want it both ways. Very frustrating.
