Carolyn,

After my last HD crash, I decided to put 2 hard drives in this computer and set them up in a raid 1 configuration so that everything I do is automatically in real time mirrored onto a second hard drive. Now if anything happens to one drive, I will still have one drive with all my information intact that I can boot up and keep on trucking. The great thing about this is that it requires no effort!

I would recommended it if you keep any important information on your drive such as financial records. It still doesn't replace back-ups stored off site in case of fire, etc.
