Maybe, but after 2 years in Iraq, I think you may be giving up too soon. It's shows you how A.D.D. - prone we all have become in America. We think it's possible to change 100 years of history in 2 years. In Japan and Germany, it took a hell of a lot longer than 2 years, and those were countries who were interested in cooperating in order to get rebuilt quickly. In Iraq, the job may take many more years. It may very well take more patience than the average A.D.D.-prone American has. That's one thing Bush is good at. He has plenty of patience and perseverence. Like I said before, if we measured projects in terms of decades instead of years, then we'd be much more successful at solving problems. Social Security is another classic example. A lot of Americans don't see a problem, because 2042 or even 2018 is too far away. Long term thinkers see a problem, because they realize the problem is inevitable. So it becomes a choice of do you fix it today when the solution is relatively painless or do you wait and fix it 40 years from now when the solution will be painful as hell.
