In some ways, though each of the fields are different.

At any rate, the assertion that scientists are frequently non-religious because they are intellectually superior to (or are trained in some mental discipline) and can "see through" the nonsense of religion is ridiculous. In general, scientists are no better judges of things outside their particular fields than anyone else.
