I am not sure the following is right at all but i will write it for arguments sake only.

Perhaps because of both the personal and public successes Jews have had both in the US and Israel, it is assumed that the Jews would continue to push for everything they want regardless of whether it was right or the realities on the ground. In this view that without checks the israelis would have driven all the arabs out of the territories and even arab israelis out of israel. Thats what the WW2 Germans would have done. Thats what the old colonialists would have do so QED. And now add the americans to that group as well, now that the hated bush is in power.
