They are refugees because they lack citizenship in a country. That is what Nadine ignores

The Palestinian refugees in Jordan have Jordanian citizenship. King Abullah (great grandfather of the present king) regarded Palestine & Transjordan as all one country anyway, as they had been when the original Mandate was drawn up.

As for the other refugees, you simply confirm what I said - it was the decision of the Arab countries to keep the refugee crisis permanent, because they got someone else (read: you and me) to pay for it, and they benefitted from the misery of the Palestinians. They could have resettled the refugees at any time. At the time, they had plenty of room, and lots of empty houses that had recently belonged to Jews. Iraq in the 1950s even advertised for immigrants - with the stipulation that Palestinians need not apply.
