When I was recruiting, I used to hate it when people would come in to see me, and say they wanted a PT job ---(I very seldom had one to offer, as they were harder to fill because of all the wants on both sides, and I got half as much money...)---The PT job everyone wanted had lots of money, lots of free time around the hours "they" wanted to work, and of course they wanted benefits....
The employers didn't pay benefits for PT or Temp work....they wanted a stable person with a desire to work regular hours, and be there when they said they would be there---and not someone who had to schedule things around golf and tennis lessons, kids, hair appointments, and shopping.
I however, did get to meet the most interesting people!
And now, I'm toying with the idea of becoming one of those people!!!! <gg> |
