Most oldschool Republicans like me believe in fiscal responsibility. At the end of the day, though, when you have lawyers making laws, they sometimes don't grasp economics or complex financial issues. So they end up passing legislation based on who made the best sales pitch. I see it in my company alot too. Sometimes projects are embarked on based on the best sales pitch, instead of looking at the ROI. Sad but true.
