...so really your comment about Bush Senior being untrustworthy IMO was simply a dig at a past Republican president who may or may not have done the things you stated.

In the early 70's I was preparing for my thrice-weekly jog around Lake Scranton when who should appear with a contingent of security but then Vice-President Bush, who happened to be in the area for one or another political event. He asked if he could run with me. I was stunned, but... sure...ok... I thought they'd close the place down for him, but, instead he was the proper guest. We spoke off and on during the run and briefly afterwards. One of the agents took my name and I was on his mailing list for many years afterwards.

I have a great deal of respect for George H.W. Bush. I voted for him in 1992. My "comment" about him being "untrustworthy" is not me trying to "dig" the ex-president, it is in the context of trying to explain why the Shiites feel America is untrustworthy.
