I was camping with a friend at a place called Beckler river campground in 97'.

She had a tent and I had a little trailer. She had set up an outdoor kitchen that was much more fun to use than my trailer kitchen (unless we needed and oven.)

She kept asking me if I'd seen the yellow dog. Always in passing like it wasn't a big deal, but she mentioned it occasionally. I hadn't seen a yellow dog and told her so.

We had a 60th bday party at the camp spot for my husband and had set up a dart board on a tree. Two days after the party, I was playing darts while she read. My dart flew past the board into a clump of bushes. I was down on my hands and knees looking for it and sensed something behind me. As I looked around I caught the ghost of a yellow dog peripherally, and as I turned to face it straight on it slowly disappeared. I could see right through it anyway, but it just faded away. He was the cutest yellow dog.

I felt silly, but I asked the ranger next time he came through if he'd ever heard of a missing yellow dog. He hadn't, but he'd only been the ranger for that district for 5 years.
