Nine servings of fruits and vegetables seems more daunting than it really is. One serving is usually 1/2 cup of most vegetables, or a small orange or apple, or half a banana. One easy way to increase the amount of fruits and vegetables you eat is to cut out all meats, cheeses, milk and eggs from your diet. At that point there is quite a lot less to eat, so it just seems easier to get plenty of fruits and vegetables (or you will be quite hungry all the time).
