Wel, at least there's this: in 4 years we'll have a different President. If Bush continues to lean far right, he is virtually guaranteeing a Democratic win. Everything moves in cycles. When we manage to stay in the middle, everything seems smooth, but when we start to swing to far right or left, it starts to feel like a rollercoaster. That is what is happening now. It wouldn't surprise me if we get Hillary in 2008. Then half of the country will be pissed off that we have a far-left President and even some Democrats will be disenchanted with how far left she is, just as some Republicans are disenchanted now with how far right Bush is.

You keep trying to make this into business as usual. You may be right but something tells me the Bush 'legacy' of damage will exist long after he is gone.
