AMD is targeting the server and workstation markets in 2005, largely. Intel is just pulling a PR stunt in an odd attempt to save face in the not-a-race. Intel *can't* sell a hot, slow desktop DC part in the high-end, so it has to sell them in the mid-end. ($2xx, $3xx and $5xx isn't really "low"-end)
