Allan I tried to find your reference and couldn't but I found this instead.

I thought I would pass along this tidbit as I had never before seen any approximations of the royalties which might accrue toe ECD. from battery packs. If we could assume production of 15,000 battery packs per month then that should generate $900,000 per month of royalty income or $10.8 million per year. There is little overhead required to collect this revenue stream. How many other manufacturers are going to come on board in the ensuing years?

And it still isn't clear how much in royalties ECD or Cobasys will receive as a result of its settlement with Panasonic. According to Mr. Tanous, ECD receives 3 percent, or about $60 a battery pack, in royalties from another Japanese rival, Sanyo Electric Co., which licensed the NiMH batteries it supplies for the new Ford Escape Hybrid.

ECD's complex financials, along with years of touting hundreds of scientific patents while delivering annual losses, have left many investors skeptical. Mr. Stempel, though, says the time finally has come for Mr. Ovshinsky's vision of renewable energy sources. "Now that the technology is proven and accepted, and investors start to see sales increasing, I think they'll get the idea."
