Yes, 'culturally most jews are quite european', and it works the other way as well, to an extent europeans inherit jewish ways of thought as well ... 'judeo-christian values', as you see it expressed so often

But, a 'Jewish state'? ... for that you'd have needed terra nulla somewhere, a 'land without a people', and there weren't any of those by the forties, not in Europe or in the Americas or in the Orient ... and i think you have to question the concept anyway, as it is an exclusivist nationalism based on religion and/or ethnicity [take your pick, the choice is debated], rather than a more broadly based civic form, at least striving to be inclusive of the species at large
