CD, If you really believe that $100 per share US would be $70C - you should never invest in a gold stock as you will loose money. Think about it. If Ralph E's and others dreams came true - you Canadians would not make money in gold. However, you could make money - in the spectacular peformers - like we hope CKG - which would be an investment in a growth company whose business happened to be gold. Your profits would be on the exploration success of the company - nothing at all to do with the price of gold.

Of course at such exchange rates - Canadian industry in the non resource provinces would be devastated.

It is truly a complex issue.
