AMD will not exceed 12% MSS in the Server/Workstation market in 2005. The reason will be a combination of process ramp/conversion problems, product mix/capacity limitations and market acceptance

I see no ramp/conversion problems or capacity limitations for 400,00 to 500,000 per quarter. I am surprised to date that they have approx. 7.5% Q3 MSS (Doug says per YOUR link) given the very limited OEM offerings. I think Intel had a great deal to do with that. But, it looks like Intel was less successful lately convincing OEMs not to offer Opteron solutions and quite a few new OEM offerings are about to hit the market. I don't think market acceptance will be an issue either. It's just a matter of socket wins. Any other estimates out there??
