The speech was laced with religious overtones. Bush's jihad=Christianity good. I don't have any idea how he envisions working it through, and I'm sure he doesn't think it will happen in his lifetime, but it's not impossible. Get the little guy and gal (slaves) everywhere......all over the world......on our side and walk beside them. It will be very interesting going forward, and also watching liberals try to lift the lid off of the box they're in. This is the first time that an American president has committed the United States to side with democratic reformers worldwide. The end of the cold war has allowed us such parameters, but the American people also should be aware of the hard and necessary decisions entailed in such idealism that go way beyond the easy rhetoric of calling for change...
