It will be very interesting going forward

The liberals jump to the conclusion that he is advocating immediate war with all countries that are not democracies. This gets them to a different argument.

We had the same problem in the Reagan 80's. The left said we had to negotiate and compromise with the Soviets. Don't offend them. The right said we need to make them face the kind of state they run, tell their people they should be free, and stand up to them. It worked. The left never admitted it did.

We have exactly the same problem this time. When the left ran things from 34 to 80, they were optimists, and the right were pessimists. It has now reversed.

I was having this same conversation last night at Zanzibars with a dance couple that snowbirds here. They leaped at me in agreement with Bush's FP. They don't like him, didn't vote at all this election, and are having major problems with their liberal friends who react in the normal left, "hate Bush" way. But they agree that freedom should be our goal. I turned them on to Barnett. I think that is an excellent way to get liberals into a good FP outlook. First political conversation I have had in a nightclub in years. I NEVER discuss politics there.
