It's a little tough, and unnecessary in my view, to provide IBM-grade data, guidance, or other information when we're a bit starved for it ourselves. You would be well served, in our group opinion, to go Long at these still ridiculously low prices - and join us. Now, if that's a little too "..pumpy.." for you; "..C'est la Vie..........

I can fully understand you wanting to 'moderate' somebody off the board that is a nuisance, but moderating people off the board for the wrong reasons, is, well, wrong. For one, Jill is not going to care if you kick her off this board...she will just laugh...secondly, the message you send by doing this is not good. People see what goes on...lots of people lurk....if jill was doing something really bad, then I could see why you would want to get her off the board, but kicking somebody off for simply making a very benign, non insulting post and JOKING post, is just not right. If this is a legit stock and if the people here are legit investors, I would hope that anybody with negative thoughts/opinions on this company will be allowed to post. Proper investing is NOT listening to only one side of the story...it is being impartial and listening to both sides of the coin. I for one, WANT to hear the negatives. I dont want to see people with the same names talking to themselves and I dont want to see fighting and soap operas, but I do feel that anybody should be able to post here without posting something negative and then being told to change your views or you are going to get kicked off this board. As a long, do you not want to hear about any possible negatives? When you made this board, you did not stae in the header that only longs with good things to say about the company are allowed and all others have to go someplace else and are not allowed to post here.....do yourself a favor and take a look at RMBS. The diehard longs were the same way....only ra ra's and pom poms or you were dismissed. Anything negative and you were nuts and attacked....well, I am sure there are quite a few people now collecting food stamps and wishing they had listened to some of the negative issues surrounding RMBS, rather then dismissing anything and everything negative and only listen to the cheerleaders.
For this to be alegit board, you must police the fighting and multiple names, but in my opinion, as long as the person is being nice and serious, anybody should be allowed to post, good or bad.
Me personally- If this board is only going to allow cheerleaders and anybody with anything negative to say is going to be kicked off, I just assume not be here either.....running a board like this, and not allowing people to mention possible negatives, is not a good thing. If I am long, I WANT to hear the negatives..there may be something to them, but only hearing the possible negatives and then doing dd can tell us this.
Personally, I do not want to be part of a board that only allows longs to cheerlead and does not allow freedom of speech and negative posts.
By the way, you can kick Jill of if you want, but it will be this boards loss. She is a very nice person, very honest and straightforward and does know a little something about investing. IMO, people like Jill are the kind of people you would want over here, not the other way around...but, your board, so do as you please.....I suspect your actions in not allowing anything negative to be said here is going to force somebody to start another board on this company, and they will do nothing but trash this company, just out of spite....do you think that will be a good thing...you really want people reading 1 board that is only longs and cheerleaders and another baord that does nothing but trash this company?? Yep, that is one sure fire way to scare off any "true" investors. True investors see this kind of thing and you couldn't force them to take free shares after seeing these kinds of actions..... |
