I kinda thought that the price is somewhere between 25 and 50 for single core. Dual would cost at least 2x of that if for nothing else then for lower max per wafer and for yield penalty assuming the same defect distribution. That is the larger the area the more likely the defect.

It should not be a big for neither of the companies. Amd hopes to get higher margins and for Intel it would be just drop in a bucket

Elmer's extra cost of not more than $10 is a bit low, I think. For Intel dual core GM may drop to as low as 70%-80% from single cores 90%.
