Well, we all know that cats are selfish, and do exactly as they please 24/7. Their only real interest in their people is to make sure they get fed; they will scratch your eyes out without even pondering should they be in danger of falling or something. They are quite Randian, when you think about it--all me, me, me. I wonder if Rand's belief system would have been different if she had been a dog lover. Dogs are loyal, loving, selfless, trusting, vulnerable.
