Boris, So don't read too much into "Frenchmen". That's not the point here. The last time France tried negotiating with murderous madmen, they ended up relying on FDR and Churchill to save them from their mistake. But I guess this time, it's "different." Maybe we should just let them have Afghanistan and Iraq and hope they leave us alone after that. But of course, we know that's not going to happen, so let's give them Israel as well. Then they'll just stop there and go no further, right? Personally, I find no reason to trust that Frenchman's captors. So they're not willing to surrender. So they're stronger, more well-financed, and more single-minded than he originally thought. Maybe that's a wake-up call to us. Or we can keep dreaming and asking them "pretty please." Tenchusatsu
