C-Cube -2: R.Stephens '97 Net View $1.05/Share

Dow Jones News Service via Dow Jones

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Robertson Stephens & Co. analyst Elias Moosa upgraded
C-Cube Microsystems Inc. (CUBE) to buy from long-term attractive.

In a research note, Mossa said the company's new rating reflects its improving
business environment.

He estimated C-Cube will earn $1.05 a share in 1997 and $1.24 a share in 1998.
He added, however, that C-Cube could post earnings above those levels,
particularly if digital video-disk players are successful in the PC market.

C-Cube designs, makes and markets digital video compression chips and
software.
