Personally.....I don't understand the angst about a 20 something girl putting on lipstick......although I have to admit......I wouldn't do it if my dad were being sworn in as POTUS.

Moms can't be everywhere at all times. Nor do most Mothers teach their daughters ALL of the fine points that go along with life under a microscope.

Laura probably was more interested in making sure her daughters did well in school.

I would have rather had a mother that stressed those attributes than one that made sure I folded my napkin right at a formal dinner. The perfect scenario would be a mother that did both. I doubt mother and father chastised Jenna for her discretion. (don't forget, she's the one that stuck her tongue out at reporters)

I would have mentioned it to her, but I think Jenna is her own woman.
