They're not great but not terribly good either. I paid for them, but not much. If Sheryl's been remembering (or I remembered to tell her), we send pens with the t-shirts we send out with iHub annual subscriptions.

I know we're out of small and medium t-shirts. Probably need to update the inventory.

Don't think I'll be buying any ad specialties stuff for a while again. Taking forever to move these t-shirts.

Oh, and Matt, could you pass this along to folks on iHub so I only have to post it once?

As you and Dave know, I've been under the weather since about the 11th. I think yesterday was the first day I went to the office since then. It's been bad.

Doctor said I had an infection on one of my tonsils, about the size of two marbles. Was even noticeable in my neck.

Talk about pain!!! Fever in excess of 103 a few times. Barely able to swallow even ice chips for a long time. Almost went into the hospital early this week for no purpose other than to get on an IV and get hydrated, but doc made up a nasty concoction that numbed my throat enough to relieve the pain.

Huge doses of steroids and antibiotics, including a big shot of each the other day. Went back to see him yesterday and for my daughter to get a follow-up on her clavicle (she broke it as a toddler and it occasionally bothers her now) and during it, my doctor blurted out "Mono!" "Huh?" "We need to get you tested for mono because you look like someone suffering from mono".

My wife agrees. Apparently I'm not much good for anything but staring dazedly into space right now. Oh, and hiccups. Lots and lots of hiccups. He gave me Thorazine for that, but it takes half an hour for it to kick in, lasts maybe an hour or so, then I'm hiccupping again. Lovely.

This has not been fun.

I'm going for blood tests Monday. My doctor said that no matter what the blood tests turn up, the battle plan will likely be the same thing: 2 weeks of bed rest.

Asked him if he'd be willing to write a note to that affect to my employer and he agreed. Had him going until he asked for my boss's name and I told him it's tough to spell, but I've got my boss's biz card, and gave him one of mine.

This is, by far, the sickest I've ever been in my life. I've had kidney stones and the worst of them have been better than this crap. This is just too long to feel so weak.

Oh, but on the plus side? I've lost between 15 and 20 lbs. Although I'm sure it's mostly water weight which I hope to regain soon. Finally getting really thirstly and mildly able to drink. Feeling so weak is much worse than any other part of it, though. I can't even drive right now. I can't walk out to the car without assistance. Yuck!

Unfortunately, this means I really can't get any work done either. But I don't think there's any emergency stuff that can't wait for my return, right? The ad situation is straightened back out and this should be a decent month.

Please don't anyone stomp on my toes while I'm gone. I may be weak and don't weigh as much now, but in a couple of weeks, I should once again be 210 lbs of toe-stomping geek. <g>
