Good early morning Dan, up loading the woodstove as usual (the downside to heating W/wood)..After reading your post, I did note when I passed a gas station yesterday, that gasoline was a bit higher @ $1.91/gal..Think it was down around 1.86 early last week. I don't pay a lot of attention, since this time of the year all I burn is high priced diesel ($2.35/gal), but dreading filling the P car up with premium in the Spring<g>. Cold here (-10) and looks like a cold week ahead for the NE. Although the middle of the country looks like it will get some warmer weather for the week ahead. So the middle of the country will use less natural gas and the northeast will use more ng, propane and the all important heating oil..Even the big NE cities will pay the price next week..Should be interesting to watch the Phili game on Sunday...brrrrrrrrrrrrr!
My short term goals are to protect profits. Don't like the way the stars are lining up, higher energy and gasoline prices, falling consumer confidence (which I expect to continue to fall),higher interest rates ( my credit card has gone from 9.9 to 13.15%, glad I don't carry a balance<g>, but what about all those holiday shoppers getting ready to receive thier holiday credit card bill), falling stock prices (soon real estate will follow,IMO), slower corporate profits, slowing gdp, higher inflation (don't believe the gov, they don't eat, heat or drive <g>).)..I'll stop there, scaring myself<vbg>...Looks like Chris is in for some snow, doesn't he live near DC?

PS: is it just me, or have I noticed a big drop off in the amount of credit card solicitation mail I'm getting? Was getting 2-3 a day in the Summer, now, I don't think I got one this week..Me thinks banks are preparing for defaults to skyrocket..
a couple more cold spells and we'll thing the nails being driven into the coffin are from an airgun<vbg>
