Do you think Germany and Japan appreciate what we did for them? Is America stronger because we helped Germany and Japan?

First, Germany and Japan declared war on the West. Begrudgingly, we fought in that war.

Secondly, we learned from the first WW that its better to assist your former enemies rather than bleed them dry like we did with Germany after WW I.

Any analogy to the current situation in Iraq is a figment of your imagination. LOL.
