I think it does. A fair amount of energy has gone into discrediting those collecting, analyzing and distributing evidence on the anomalies related to 9/11. On the rare occasions the media takes momentary notice of these efforts, the media quickly points out the most speculative and unsubstantiated results.

Sending in a few red herrings is hardly a new concept:
