In a choice between anarchy and democracy, we should choose freedom. If we walk away from Iraq now, it will devolve temporarily into anarchy, and then into a new brutal dictatorship. We have a chance to stay for long enough to make a difference in peoples lives. If we leave we will make a different sort of difference. How sad it is to know that there are Americans who wish to discard a whole country witha flip comment and sentence them to poverty and death. (This was the post that mindmeld was responding to. It appears to be an appropriate response to your post as well.)
