Spek, I know ISIL pretty well as it bought my XICO shares. I would not be too apologetic about it being a value stock. The company has $735M of cash and safe investments ($5 per share) and a healthy amount of free cash flow. If you take out the cash you are getting a high margin business at a pretty good valuation. Of course, the company is dead in the water now and the stock is acting poorly - so your multiple buy strategy on declining prices is appropriate.
