Ha! They are full of crap. I grew up in Texas and lived in Texas during Richards and Bush's governorship. He had the twang then and he has it now. Many people make fun of southerners. Northerners especially think southerners are stupid, because they talk slower and have an accent. It's really naive to underestimate people because of the way they talk.
