The following was announced this morning by Breed Technologies:

...Fred J. Musone joins BREED as President and Chief Operating Officer to manage day-to-day operations of the company. Musone is a 25-year veteran of the automotive industry and most recently served as President of Morton International Automotive Safety Products/Autoliv, Inc. With a depth of experience in international operations management and business development, and a recognized expert in the application of lean manufacturing methods, Musone will be directly responsible for BREED's global operations, quality and administration.
...Reporting to Musone is Robert M. Rapone, Executive Vice President, Operations Worldwide. He joins the company from Morton International Automotive Safety Products/Autoliv, Inc, where he had served for two years as Vice President Operations, managing eight plants and 5,500 employees.
...Rapone has direct manufacturing responsibility for BREED's four core product divisions: Electronics, Airbags/Inflators, Steering Wheels /Interiors and Seat Belts.
"BREED's new management organization reflects our rise as a leader in global occupant safety systems and immediately strengthens our ability to develop and respond to business opportunities with our customers worldwide..." ...By accepting their positions with BREED, Fred Musone and Robert Rapone have acknowledged the company's rising status in the industry. We believe that we have the team in place to seize all of our new opportunities."
Please note: Fred Musone was recently added to the Board of Simula; Robert Rapone and he are very close working associates and Mr. Rapone has the responsibility for airbags, inflators, and interiors at Breed.
Anyone want to give me two to five that this association ends up benefitting Simula big time? <G>
Have a good afternoon.
