And by the way, I thought this post was excellent. Probably because it mirrors my feelings. Like you, I am opposed to abortion but believe that it should be offered in the first trimester for the reasons you state.
As an old social worker, I saw too many unwanted, abused, and neglected babies that the rest of us pay the price for- financially, socially, and often emotionally.
