<it wasn't "the center" that Michael Moore was appealing to>

LOL -- Michael Moore? You think that the Dems should organize around Michael Moore? No. The Center is alive and well and plenty large enough to carry an election -- that is the only way the Dems can win an election. The Center was against a war without the UN. The Center was right on -- but there was nobody to represent the Center. Given a choice between the "far right" and "nowhere", the electorate chose the far right -- and yes, the "fear factor" was played to the hilt by Bush. The left is nowhere. The Center will ultimately determine the future of the US, and if they wake up in time to examine what Bush is doing to this country and to the world we live in then there is hope that we can pull America out of the spiral of violence and economic decline that we slipped into under the Bush Administration. There has never been a more divisive president -- the Dems need to at least offer to represent the Center, where most of America lives and wants to live in the future. Bush can have the radical right -- good riddance. The Center is the prize.
